The MBA Summit Invitational Titles is a premier Masters Boxing showcase event, bringing together Combat, Cadet and Open Class divisions in one elite invitational tournament.

From Summit Medals to Queensland State, Australian and World Title belts, this event is built around quality match-making, athlete safety, and genuine championship opportunity under Masters Boxing Australia rules.

Event Venue - Robina Community Arena

The MBA Summit Invitational Titles will be hosted at the Robina Community Arena, one of the Gold Coast’s most respected indoor sporting venues.

Modern, spacious and purpose-built for high-level competition, Robina Community Arena offers excellent sightlines, professional lighting, ample athlete facilities and a strong spectator atmosphere. It’s a venue designed for performance — giving fighters the space, safety and stage they deserve, while delivering an outstanding experience for officials, supporters and corporate guests.

Located centrally on the Gold Coast with easy access, parking and nearby amenities, Robina Community Arena is the perfect home for a championship-level Masters Boxing event.

Championship Titles on Offer (Open Class)

The following Open Class championship titles will be contested:

  • 5 × Queensland State Titles

  • 5 × Australian Titles

  • 3 × World Title Defences

 

Competition Classes & Titles

 

Combat Class & Cadet Class

  • Compete for the Summit Title

  • Winners receive Summit Medals

Open Class

  • Compete for official MBA Championship Belts, including:

    • Queensland State Titles

    • Australian Titles

    • World Title bouts

 

Compulsory Weigh-In

A compulsory weigh-in will be held at 8:00pm on Friday 19 June 2026, the day prior to the event.
Venue to be advised.

Saturday 20 June 2026

  • Session 1: 2:00pm – 6:00pm

  • Session 2: 7:00pm – 11:00pm

 

Competition Divisions

Men and Women

  • Open Division – 6 or more sanctioned fights

  • Combat Class – 1 to 5 sanctioned fights

  • Cadet Class – 0 sanctioned fights

 

Bout Durations

Combat & Cadet Class

  • 3 × 2-minute rounds

Open Class – Summit Title

  • 3 × 2-minute rounds

State Title Bouts

  • 4 × 2-minute rounds

Australian Title Bouts

  • 5 × 2-minute rounds

World Title Bouts

  • 6 × 2-minute rounds

All divisions have a 1-minute rest period between rounds.

 

Member Preference

2025 Masters Boxing Australia members will receive matching preference across all divisions and title categories.

Age Requirements

  • Age is determined as at Friday 20 June 2026

  • Minimum age for competition is 30 years

 

Age Divisions

  • 30–40

  • 41–50

  • 51–55

  • 56–60

  • 61–70

Fighters may be matched across age divisions provided there is no more than a 10-year age difference.
There are no divisions for competitors over 70 years of age.

 

Weight Divisions

  • Bantamweight (50.1kg – 57.5kg) – Female only

  • Lightweight (57.51kg – 65.0kg)

  • Welterweight (65.1kg – 72.5kg)

  • Middleweight (72.51kg – 80.0kg)

  • Cruiserweight (80.1kg – 87.5kg)

  • Heavyweight (87.51kg – 95.0kg)

  • Super Heavyweight (95.1kg – 102.5kg)

  • Open Weight (102.5kg+)

 

Membership Requirement

All boxers must be registered members of Masters Boxing Australia (MBA).
A valid MBA membership number is required to complete event registration.

 

Equipment & Attire

  • MBA-approved gloves will be used

  • Gloves and headgear are supplied

  • Personal open-face headgear may be used if approved by the Event Marshal

Competitors may wear red or blue singlets or official country colours.
If colours clash, Red Corner has priority and Blue Corner must change.

  • Only cricket-box or single-protection groin guards are permitted

  • No abdominal protectors allowed

  • A properly fitted mouthguard is mandatory

  • Boxing shorts must have a clear, visible waistband

 

Medical Clearance

A ringside doctor will be midday for those competing in both sessions 

All boxers must be medically cleared before competing.
Medical clearance (Fitness to Box) and serology results must be current within 12 months of Saturday 6 June 2026.

 

Trainers & Seconders

  • Trainers must be 16 years or older

  • Trainers must hold valid MBA accreditation

  • Only one trainer is permitted in the ring per bout

MBA trainer and seconder accreditation is available and free.

Fighters without a personal trainer will be provided with an experienced accredited trainer.
MBA must be notified no later than 6 June 2026 if a trainer is required.

 

Judging & Sanctioning

All bouts are judged under recognised Masters Boxing scoring protocols.
All results are final, with no appeals.

This event is organised and sanctioned by Masters Boxing Australia.

Nominations & Registrations

  • Registrations open 11 February 2026.

  • All nominations must be submitted via the MBA website.

  • Once your nomination is accepted and your match-up is confirmed, payment of the appropriate fee must be completed no later than 20 May 2026.

  • Further event information, nomination links, and timelines will be released closer to nominations opening.

 

Fees

Combat & Cadet Class

  • $120.00

Open Class

  • State Title – $200.00

  • Australian Title – $300.00

  • World Title – $500.00

All fees include the belt fee where applicable.

 

Spectator Tickets

Tickets available at the door and via Eventbrite.

  • Both Sessions (Standing): $50.00

  • Ringside Seated: $75.00

Corporate Tables (10 per table)

Session 1

  • Drinks and 3-course meal provided

  • Table must be vacated at 6:00pm

  • Each table guest receives a free ticket for Session 2

  • $2,200 per table

Session 2

  • Drinks and 3-course meal provided for the entire evening session
