MBA Oceania Titles – Gold Coast 2026
The MBA Oceania Titles will take place on 5–7 November 2026 at the Mermaid Waters Hotel, delivering a three-day Masters Boxing tournament and marking a new chapter in MBA championship competition.
This event replaces the Pan Pacific Games boxing tournament previously held at this venue. While boxing will no longer be part of the Pan Pacific Games program, Pan Pacs entertainment will still proceed as scheduled. Those wishing to attend Pan Pacs entertainment can purchase a non-playing pass directly through the Games.
The MBA Oceania Titles is a stand-alone championship tournament and is not part of the new MBA State or Australian belt pathway.

The MBA Oceania Titles brings together Masters boxers from across Australia and the wider region to compete in a structured, athlete-focused championship environment. All bouts will be matched by the official MBA matchmaker and overseen by experienced referees and judges.

This event carries its own championship status within the Masters Boxing Australia calendar.

Fighters may be matched across age divisions provided there is no more than a 10-year age difference. There are no divisions for competitors over 70 years of age.

Tournament Briefing

A relaxed competitors meet and greet including event briefing, Q&A, access to practice scales, and collection of event merchandise. Attendance is recommended but not compulsory.
Weigh-In

A single official weigh-in will be held on Friday 5 November 2026 at 7:00am.

All competitors must attend this weigh-in to be eligible to compete. No exceptions.

Doors open for spectators 30 minutes prior to each session.
Fighter Availability
-
All boxers must be available for the full duration of the tournament. Requests for specific fight days, sessions, or corner colours will not be considered.
Membership Requirement
-
All boxers must be registered members of Masters Boxing Australia (MBA). A valid MBA membership number is required to complete event registration.
Titles & Awards
-
Open Class winners will be crowned MBA Oceania Champions and awarded the Oceania Title.

Combat and Cadet Class winners will receive championship medals. Runners-up will receive silver medals.
-
Belts won at this multi-day tournament do not need to be vacated.
Equipment & Attire
-
MBA-approved gloves will be used. Gloves and headgear are supplied. Personal open-face headgear may be used if approved by the Event Marshal.

Competitors may wear red or blue singlets or official country colours. If colours clash, Red Corner has priority.

Only cricket-box or single-protection groin guards are permitted. No abdominal protectors allowed. A properly fitted mouthguard is mandatory. Boxing shorts must have a clear, visible waistband.
Medical Clearance
-
A ringside doctor will be present prior to each session. All boxers must be medically cleared before competing.

Fitness to Box medical clearance and serology results must be current within 12 months of Thursday 5 November 2026.
Trainers and Seconders
-
Trainers must be aged 16 or older and hold valid MBA accreditation. Only one trainer is permitted in the ring per bout.

MBA trainer and seconder accreditation is available and free.

Fighters without a personal trainer will be provided with an experienced accredited trainer and must attend the tournament briefing.
Judging & Sanctioning

All bouts are judged under recognised Masters Boxing scoring protocols. All results are final with no appeals.

The event is organised by Masters Boxing Australia and sanctioned in accordance with MBA competition rules.
