Match-Ups

Where fighters are outside their respective divisions, the matchmaker will create a "Catch Class"

-  Eg : a 44 yo, super heavy weight, has no direct match-up but there's a 40 yo with similar exp and weight also has no match-up. The matchmaker will match them as Super Heavyweight, combat class, catch age.

·   If a fighter falls just outside of a division, and they have no match up, the matchmaker may include that fighter in the next closest bracket.

·  Limited age differential is allowed for next bracket inclusion.

·  A fighter cannot go down to the next experience level but a fighter may nominate to go up.

·   No more than 10 years age differential in any match-up.

What to Wear:

· You must have a Blue or Red Singlet or state colours. Black singlets are allowed but if both fighters have Black Singlets, the Red Corner has priority. Therefore the Blue corner must change into a blue singlet. No exceptions.

·  You cannot wear your own gloves. 16 oz gloves will be provided to you before you get into the ring.

·  You can use your own open face headgear provided that it's in good condition and one of the following brands (Adidas, Sting, Morgan, Weisling, Winning, Title, or MBA). Black Headgear is allowed. If you don't own your own headgear (but you should) headgear will be provided. Please make sure that you fit it properly before getting the ring.

· You must use training wraps. No pro bandaging allowed.

·  Groin guards must be worn inside the shorts

Tournament Briefing

THURSDAY 8 August 6pm at the venue

The briefing session is a chance for boxers and trainers to gather informally to hear an outline of the event structure and have any questions answered. Recommended, especially for Cadet class, but not compulsory.

Weigh-In at the Venue, 7am-10am, Friday 9 August

There will be a single compulsory weigh-in on the morning of the first day of the competition for all boxers, no exceptions. (Dehydration and resultant boxer collapse is one of the most dangerous aspects of the sport. A single weigh-in aims to eliminate this factor. Nominate your fighting weight from the start.)

Tournament Doctor

The tournament Doctor will be at the Officials table 1 hour before each session starts. Boxers for that session must be passed to fight by the tournament doctor before fighting. No exceptions.
