Masters Boxing International (MBI) Rules Book – Introduction
​Welcome to the official MBI Competition Rules Book – the foundation of all Masters Boxing Australia (MBA) and Masters Boxing International (MBI) sanctioned events.
This rulebook has been created to ensure consistency, safety, and fairness across all competitions worldwide. It reflects the unique spirit and needs of Masters boxing, where athlete welfare, respect, and structured competition are paramount. It is designed specifically for athletes aged 30 and above, incorporating modifications that prioritise safety while preserving the integrity of the sport.
Whether you are a boxer, coach, official, or event organiser, we encourage you to familiarise yourself with the latest rules. By doing so, you help maintain the professionalism and credibility of Masters boxing globally.
MBI Coaches & Seconders Certification Exam – Introduction
All corners involved in MBI-sanctioned events must be certified to ensure the highest standards of safety, knowledge, and conduct are upheld across the Masters community.
The MBI Coaches & Seconders Certification Exam is a compulsory step for anyone wishing to corner at MBI events. This exam ensures every certified individual is up to date with the current rules, understands the role and responsibilities of a coach or seconder, and is equipped to support their boxer safely and professionally.
Upon completion of the exam:

You will receive an email with your results.

If you pass (90% or higher), you will be issued an official MBI Certification Certificate in your name.

If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to resit the exam.

Your Digital License will be activated shortly after passing.
Please ensure you upload a clear passport-style photo before starting, as this image will appear on your digital license.
